Account Number

Definition:

An account number is a special number given by a bank to every person who  opens an account. It helps keep track of all the money in that account.

Example:

If Ramesh has an account number like 1234567890, that number is unique to him,  just like his Aadhaar number.

How to understand an account number:

When you open a bank account, the bank gives you this number.  Every time you use your account, the bank uses this number to know it’s your money.

Importance of an Account Number:

It helps the bank know who owns the account.

It makes sure money goes to the right person when you send or receive it.
